Methow Valley spring

The trip was smooth sailing yesterday, once we left Seattle behind. The desert hills along the Columbia were blooming with wildflowers after the exceptionally wet spring.  I've never seen it quite so green.

We made a couple of pit-stops in the usual places.  The Anjou Bakery...

A pick-me-up espresso and treat.

Then the Cider Works in Orondo for a picnic lunch on the porch.

Before we knew it, we were in Twisp.  Here's Maya, burning up the streets on her two-wheeler.  Amanda made us a great dinner last night with grilled local sausages.  Today we're looking forward to the Saturday Market and a hike in the mountains.
