Feast or famine

Seems like just the other day when we were complaining about record-breaking drought, and now a big blob of moisture (river, actually) is aimed directly at the Northwest.

Seattle will be shielded somewhat by the Olympic Mountain rain shadow, but we'll be plenty wet and windy over the next few days. Heavy snow in the mountains this weekend.

The hardy souls in the West Seattle Ukulele Players Group still meet outside at various locations. It might be lingering viral paranoia, or just because they haven't found a free indoor venue. Probably a bit of both. Most recently, they've used the street patio at the Good Society Brewery, just a few blocks from our house.

I missed it, but everyone had such a jolly time there last week they're going back today. Maybe it was the strong beer. But today the temperature is in the low 40's, breezy and wet. Ugh.

At some point I wonder if the health benefit of sitting outside in that kind of weather becomes a toss up. I might check it out this afternoon, but I'm not lugging all my stuff over there in the pouring rain. Yes, a wimp.
