The more things change...

An elderly George Bernard Shaw gave this speech to the American Academy of Political Science. Shaw was an Irish playwright, socialist, and a co-founder of the London School of Economics. He describes his impressions of the American national psyche, and then discusses political and economics issues such as America's relationship with Russia and trade surpluses.  It was written in 1933.
