One more weather complaint

Are you you sick of my depressing weather statistics?  Here's another one: the last time Seattle had an official sunny day was nearly a month ago on February 13th, when it was sunny and 57 degrees.  In fact, since October, Seattle has had only nine official sunny days, although six of those were accompanied by morning temperatures in the 20s and highs in the 30s.

Snoqualmie Pass was closed for avalanche danger yesterday and we decided to postpone our trip across the mountains until Saturday.  John went to work today and will take Monday off instead.  Now the pass is open again and looks bare and wet, so we would have been fine.  Go figure. No one can second guess this wild weather, but better safe than sorry.

I'm anxious to see the kids and pretty much packed to go.  What to do with myself on another rainy day?  Maybe I'll watch You Tube videos on "Five Ways to Attach Granny Squares." Something exciting like that.

Let's get all the depressing subjects over at once.  We watched that highly-acclaimed movie "Manchester by the Sea" last night. It's a story about incredibly sad people in an incredibly sad town where incredibly sad things happen. The sort of thing the critics drool over and the rest of us must suffer through. I can't recommend it unless you are already depressed and want to wallow in it. We need some happy old movies up next on the Netflix queue.

If the Internet gods are favorable, I'll check in from the sunny side of the mountains with cute little girl pictures.  That's a cheerful thought.

Have a good weekend.
