Temperatures might reach (gasp!) triple digits in Seattle by Thursday. And today is the 45th day with no measurable rain. SeaTac Airport has only hit 100 a few times since they started keeping records. Excessive heat waves are rare in Western Washington because of the typical weather pattern of cool ocean breezes. But these times they are changin'.
Fire and Ice
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
Robert Frost
