Oh, Christmas tree

Amanda sent these pictures yesterday of their family and friend hunt for a perfect tree. They're out in the snowy mountains near Mazama with a $5 forest service cutting permit. What a deal!

That's "Nica"guarding the hard won prize.
The tree comes home, with lots of helping hands.
And good friends.

And later, after a long and chaotic day, it looks like Christmas perfection over there.

Well, our Seattle tree hunt won't be quite so Currier and Ives. After The Ukes Christmas concert tomorrow, we plan to drop by the West Seattle Nursery, probably in the rain, and pick out a tree.

I'm into the skinny tall look and, of course, the Nobles and Frasier Pines are the most expensive. But who cares, it's Christmas, and besides, Tuesday is senior discount day which just about pays our hefty 10% sales tax.

There's supposed to be a tree shortage this year, but the lots still seem to be full of them.  Anyway, the nice thing is, the Nursery delivers free in West Seattle.
