May 4th is Star Wars Day. The movie franchise has been around since the year Amanda was born, which seems almost unbelievable. And now a generation later, Nova and Maya love Star Wars. I've lost track of how many movies were made and we haven't even seen them all. To be honest, the non-stop action and big special effects are more wearisome than entertaining. And the characters were much more interesting in the earlier films, but that's just an old person's opinion. Those movies are immensely popular, and there's another one coming out this month, featuring a young Han Solo and his co-pilot Chewbacca.
So, it looks like a nice weekend coming up. We've finally turned the weather corner and it's time to wash the green mold off the cars.
Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo (chicken enchiladas) and Sunday we'll meet Betsy and Paul for gelato before the symphony. See you Monday.
