Yesterday was All Saints' Day, a solemn and holy day dedicated to all those saints who have attained heaven. Not to be confused with All Souls' Day, observed on November 2nd and dedicated to the poor souls who have died, but are still hanging around in Purgatory.
This final week before the election sure feels like Purgatory. If your nerves can't handle the non-stop news coverage next Tuesday, The Weather Channel is planning to run a nine-hour "chill marathon" to evoke tranquility and ease your troubled soul. "The marathon will include the most beautiful, awe-inspiring and calming weather video and scenery ever caught on tape," the network said. "This world is a beautiful and magical place after all."
