Labor Day weekend

The long weekend is starting out chilly and wet, so we'll probably stick close to home.  There are the usual festivals and fairs going on, if you care to brave the crowds and traffic.

I don't mind staying home, because we're going on vacation soon and I have plenty of domestic chores to keep me busy.  Like a Costco size bag of hyacinths to plant, and hundreds of wormy apples to pick up. Fun stuff like that.

Many of the trees are already changing color from the drought and fall is abruptly in the air.  Plants get stressed out, too.
