Darling buds of March

"I have said that there was great pleasure in watching the ways in which different plants come through the ground, and February and March are the months in which that can best be seen."

Henry Nicholson Ellacombe, author
The Plant Lore and Garden Craft of Shakespeare

Daffodils,
That come before the swallow dares, and take
The winds of March with beauty.
- William Shakespeare

New sedums...
Peonies poking through the old stems...
Best of all, the alliums are back again...
And crocus.
