On my regular loop, I walk by several of these incredibly lovely small trees. How many plants flower and fruit at the same time?
Fruit development in Arbutus unedo is delayed for about 5 months after pollination, so the lily-of-the valley-like flowers bloom while the previous year's fruit is ripening. Arbutus is also know by the sweet handle "Strawberry Tree."
