When life gives you peaches

Nothing says summer like fresh peach pie. We both had a big slice for dessert with vanilla ice cream. Those sweet local peaches made a delicious, once-a-year pie.

So, Friday again? Another week gone, so much like the one before, and the one before that.

Last night we were reminiscing about last August, a month almost too busy with trips and activities. John said it feels like that "just happened," and now another year is gone. To me, last August seems like a lifetime ago. Where we ever so carefree? The normal passing of time has gone very strange.

How about a smile to end the week? Yes, that is a real chicken harness.

Have a good weekend.

  1. Time is relative. When you are 3 years old, a year is 1/3 of your whole life. When you are twenty, a year is 1/20th of your life. When you're 60, a year is 1/60th of your life. The older you get, the percentage of a year to the rest of your life becomes smaller and smaller, and the more rapidly time seems to pass.

  2. So true! And this pandemic lifestyle sure exaggerates the feeling.

  3. Hi Sue, Next time you're out this way, you guys should stop by. I managed to wrangle two broke horses from a down-sizing therapeutic riding program and I'm having fun with them in the backyard. Lots of work though! Lori S. P.S. I'm up to SIX pet pigs.
