Dusty in Seattle

This view is looking down on the big track and field renovation project at the nearby middle school. They've been hauling out tons of dry soil to make a deep cork base for new artificial turf. It hasn't affected us much, but the houses downwind are coated with dust.

The "before" view. It was neglected over the years and turned into an off-leash dog park, despite signs saying no animals allowed on the playing field. I got tired of walking down there with large dogs charging up and jumping on me while their owners smiled on. Eventually it was deemed unfit even for their doggies.

Anyway, no one living nearby is happy about the giant light poles and night events, but it will be nice when this is cleaned up and usable again.

As for our share of dusty and noisy projects, the lumber for the fence gets delivered today. We're taking that as a good sign, but no exact start date yet. And Mr Nguyen is cutting the hedge.
