Little brown bunnies are everywhere. We have several like this one hopping around the yard. They look like wild Eastern Cottontails, but I guess these are domestics that people dump when they realize how much money and work it takes to care for pet rabbits.
Domestic rabbits live and have their babies (kits) in burrows, up to 30 a year for each female. I have no idea where these little guys spend the night.
Supposedly, they have poor survival skills, although they seem to be doing just fine, thank you. Food of choice is clover flowers, and we have plenty blooming in the weedy lawn. Without a dog, our big overgrown lot must be a perfect habitat. They are sorta tame but not entirely.

Hard to tell them apart?

A big change in the weather overnight, from blazing hot sun yesterday to cool and damp this morning. And hopefully some showers today to help wet things down before the 4th of July.
