What next? The Writer's Almanac, my favorite podcast and inspiration for so many blogs, is finished. Minnesota Public Radio terminated all contracts with Garrison Keillor yesterday, based on the allegations of inappropriate behavior by a single person who worked with him.
According to their statement this morning, MPR retained an outside law firm to conduct an independent investigation of the allegations. But in the meantime, Keillor's long career and legacy came to an ignominious end. I hope he returns to Lake Wobegon and lives out his days in peace, not bitterness over whatever he did (or didn't) do.
We'll miss his humor and wisdom.
