And the Milky Way spins on

Our home galaxy in the moonlight, spinning away above Mt. Baker and Mt. Rainier this summer.  The bright streaks are planes, the faint long streaks are satellites, and a few brief faint streaks are meteors from the Delta Aquarids Meteor Shower.  Courtesy of Scott Sistek's excellent weather blog.

It's another beautiful, clear summer morning.  It's Sea-fair weekend in Seattle, a big deal with the hydroplane races on Lake Washington and the Blue Angels in town practicing, performing and generally mucking up traffic.

Sunday looks cloudy and rainy for their show, but we'll be tucked away in the dark Opera House watching the first opera of the season,  "Count Ory" by Rossini.  This opera is a first see for us, which is always fun. Have a good weekend.
