Heat islands

Sensitive Plant
Frank Dicksee

Temperatures are generally warmer in urban areas than rural areas. Big cities have less vegetation and more concrete and asphalt, which do a much better job holding in the day's heat and radiating it back during the night. Not to mention all those hot, busy humans running around on summer days.

Look at this lovely forecast for Seattle! The garden hoses will get a workout this weekend.
Have a good one, wherever you are.
