Leave it to Costco to sell the most jumbo pumpkins. I could barely lift this one into the cart yesterday, then I had to push it a quarter mile across the parking lot, like Cinderella's carriage. John lugged it up on the front porch next to the Costco mum. They make you work for your bargains.
Halloween yard decorating is in full swing around this neighborhood. Here's a odd statistic: South Dakota spends more than any other state on Halloween decorations, 28% of residents there spending $250-$499. (Which is the average monthly earnings in over 30 countries.)
