Green eggs and ham

One of John's co-workers raises chickens at home, so we're lucky to have a steady supply of fresh farm eggs. And once you've had eggs from chickens that run around eating natural things you're spoiled-- in comparison, supermarket eggs taste like the carton. Every egg from Theresa's flock is clean and beautiful, ranging in color from white to dark brown. Recently some light green eggs have been showing up (they are exactly the same inside) and I was wondering what breed of chicken they came from. Theresa can confirm this, but I think they are Ameraucna eggs, also know as the Easter Egg Chicken.

Keeping backyard chickens has become a fad in Seattle and there are little coops tucked away in every neighborhood. City dwellers are allowed to keep a maximum of 8 hens on their lot. No roosters.
