Happy Birthday, Dad. We hope you get the bounce back in your step soon.
We've had perfect weather in the Northwest all weekend. Sunny and warm, and no one can remember a nicer Labor Day weekend. Amanda and Nova leave today, so keep them in your thoughts for a safe and easy
trip home on the jammed highways.
The last time we had measurable rain was July 22, and if Seattle's dry spell lasts another 9 days, we'll have a record-- the longest Seattle has gone without rain since 1945, when
the National Weather Service started keeping records around here.
I noticed the Farmer's Almanac published their outlook for winter 2013, and they predict a drier than usual winter in the Pacific Northwest. El Nino winters are typically warmer across the northern U.S., while it's cool and wet in California, southwest, Texas and the southeast.
