Our little home weather station said it all yesterday: 9:44 am, 70 perfect degrees inside and out, barometer rising. After the worst northwest spring in living memory, we deserve a weekend of exquisite weather in Seattle. At least there won't be any complaints on the blog for the next couple of days.
And it's a wonderful Saturday to stay home, pull weeds and admire the iris. When these first warm days finally arrive, folks around here suddenly go a bit crazy. Jump in icy rivers, fall out of boats, drive too fast with the top down-- teenage stuff like that. Except adults are doing it.
We're fast approaching the solstice, and sunset in Seattle is after 9 pm tonight. A long and wonderful stretch of daylight and blue skies.
