Ready or not
What a cute picture of Maya, Nova and "Nica" at Snoqualmie Falls. They were actually back in Western Washington again this past weekend for a performance of "The Nutcracker" over in Bremerton. That's a heroic amount of driving in one week, with a dog and two kids in the car. The girls cousin Mary Claire was starring as Clara in the ballet-- not to be missed. We did miss them however, there just wasn't enough time.
Ready or not, The Ukes are performing today at the Senior Center. The only problem is we really haven't had a chance to rehearse with the Sing-Along Group. Add that to the usual background confusion--our leader is elderly and difficult to understand, plus many in the group are hard of hearing. Or they're talking and plinking away instead of listening.
Well, hopefully we drown out each other's mistakes and people will be focused anyway on their turkey dinners. John is coming home early from work to attend the affair, then we're going to find a Christmas tree.
By the way, catch Garrison Keillor's column this week. There's a link over on my sidebar, or just CLICK HERE. He touches on several current news stories in his wry and insightful way.
