The skies changed from bright blue to a milky haze yesterday when smoke from wildfires in British Columbia began pouring into Puget Sound. More than 800 fires have charred about 2,600 square miles in Canada. Unfortunately, the air pollution comes along with the building heat wave. This should make for some pretty intense sunsets.
There's a heavy grey overcast this morning--and it's not our typical marine clouds. Ugh.
My friends in Spokane and my cousins near Seattle are all bracing for the influx. Unfortunately, the only way you can escape it is to stay indoors.
