Good nuts


These Blue Diamond almonds are really good. Did you know it takes one gallon of water to produce one almond?  Something to think about while you gobble down a handful.

Almonds are a thirsty crop, and farmers must water the orchards through the worst California drought in 90 years.  This year the almonds are slightly smaller, due to the stingy water supply.

If you eat an almond anywhere in the world, it most likely came from California. Almonds are the No. 1 state agricultural export at $2.5 billion, more than two times more than wine, the second most valuable export.
