Amanda had a safe trip home yesterday with the little girls. Our ears were ringing with quiet last night, but we sure missed them!
We're having a beautiful stretch of weather in Seattle-- not a cloud in the perfect blue sky and up into the 80's today. Almost a record high, and the warmest it has been for nine months. Which guarantees that folks in Seattle will be going slightly crazy, racing their cars around, causing traffic jams on Alki beach and jumping into cold rivers because it's so "hot."
John and I are spending the afternoon inside, listening to Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. That's OK, and it will be a nice change to emerge from dark Benaroya Hall at 4:30 on a warm, sunny afternoon, instead of the usual slap in the face with rain and wind.
