I ran across Henry Ryland's paintings while trolling the Internet for old art reproductions to "borrow" for Feathers and Flowers. John might use a harsher word, being the one to always take the high moral road ;-)

Ryland's specialty was watercolors of classically dressed girls looking dreamy on marble terraces. The style was created by Alma Tadema and the Victorians ate this sort of thing up. Ryland was also a fine illustrator and designed stain glass windows. He has a small Wiki entry but is somewhat in the shadow of more famous pre-Raphelites painters. Still-- pretty stuff.
